Spring Tiger Cub Recruitment

If your unit has an active summer program, and possibly earned the Summertime Pack Award, then consider recruiting Tiger Cubs this spring!  April and May are typical months to recruit boys that are about to finish their Kindergarten year and become 1st graders this fall. This process is the same as fall recruitment just focused only on Kindergarteners.  Flyers would be ordered inviting the boys and their parents to a pack meeting in April or May, when they sign up they can participate in all of your summertime fun (with the exception of summer resident camp)! An active summer program is the key to keeping these boys active until the fall. Talk to your committee leaders and if your pack is interested in recruiting Spring Tiger Cubs, please contact Josh Anderson at janderson@twinlakesbsa.org.

FAST TRACKS ON THE ADVANCEMENT TRAIL!

Den Leaders, remember the Cub Scout Pilot Program?  Well it is a pilot no more, the National Council has adopted this program and it has been named Fast Tracks on the Advancement Trail.  How can Fast Tracks help you as a leader?  Well the answer is: This Web-based, advancement-rich program was developed to help den leaders organize meetings so that the majority of boys' advancement takes place in the den alongside their friends.  Fast Tracks is available for all levels of Cub Scouting and any size den.  This program provides den leaders with easy, step-by-step instructions, as well as an inclusive listing of materials.  It takes the guesswork out of planning the den meeting.  Moreover, the outline for each program level ensures the completion of rank requirements in a timely manner and assures that each boy will reach significant advancement on a more regular basis.  To learn more about this program, please click on the Fast Tracks link below.  If you are interested in learning how to use this program effectively please click on the training link below.
